Location, Location, Location!

“Location, Location, Location” – It’s a phrase you’ve all heard from the real estate industry, whether you were choosing your first business location or your first home.
In collections, location information of a referral is equally as important. When a referral is placed with our agency and location information (home phone or address) is absent
or incorrect, we identify the account as a skip. The account gets immediately routed to our skip tracing department. Depending on what information is needed, the search is
completed utilizing any one of our 15-20 different skip trace vendors.

Without good location information, the collectability of the account and ability to communicate with the referral is diminished dramatically.

Our experience in collections has enabled us to develop methods to recognize the different types of skips. Once we know what type of skip we are looking for, we immediately
know what road to take in our collection efforts

So, the next time you dial a home phone number and it comes back disconnected or your invoice comes back with a mail return, categorize that skip to aid in your collection efforts. Understanding what type and how to locate someone is understanding human nature and knowing how to use that knowledge is my profession. Happy hunting!
